Science Agora is entering a new phase. The Technology Transfer Network of the four leading research and academic institutions in Attica —AUEB, NTUA, NCSR Demokritos and Athena RCis strengthening, evolving, and expanding its services with the goal of bringing research closer than ever to the actual market.
Event marking the start of the new phase
On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, 17.00 20.00, at the Event Hall of the NTUA Administration Building, Science Agora presented its vision and activities for the upcoming period. The event was open to the public, bringing together researchers, businesses, investors, and innovation stakeholders for a shared dialogue.
Bridging Research and the Market as a Strategic Priority
At the event, Science Agora presented the innovation Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiative to be implemented Science Agorain collaboration with the Hellenic Development Bank (HDB). This program will target research teams and spin-offs from Greek Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Research Centers. The PoC Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to enable the piloting and maturation of innovative ideas under real-world conditions, providing advisory support, mentorship, networking, and targeted funding to accelerate the transition from the lab to the market.
A discussion with pioneers making a difference
Researchers, companies, and partners who have collaborated—or are preparing to collaborate—with Science Agora shared their experiences and expectations from the Network. The discussion focused on what works, what is evolving, and what remains to be achieved in the field of technology transfer.
Science Agora is growing -and so is the innovation ecosystem
In its second phase of operation, Science Agora aims to:
- Enrich the services available to researchers and businesses.
- Build new collaborative bridges with the market.
- Increase the overall value generated through the interconnection of research and innovation.
