Science Agora organized a two-day "ESG Workshop" with the participation of startups, research, and business teams. The goal was to foster a substantial understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, and corporate Governance) issues, the practical application of metrics for recording company performance across environmental, social responsibility, and corporate governance topics, and to assess their ability to create value and formulate effective strategies with a long-term outlook.

The workshop was conducted in two parts:

The first part, held on December 7, 2022, focused on the theoretical background of ESG (definition, importance, and connection to the Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs). The second part, organized on December 9, 2022, highlighted the Practical Application of ESG metrics (introduction to service design, essential tools for mapping each team's ESG goals, etc.).

The speakers for the two days were Dr. Vasiliki Koniakou, Data Protection Officer, ACEin AUEB, and Dimitris Papadimitriou, Founder and Managing Director of Startup Pathways.
