The Science Agora organized a two-day "ESG Workshop" with the participation of startups, research and business teams, aiming for the substantial understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) issues, the practical application of indicators for recording company performances on environmental, social responsibility and corporate governance issues and reflecting their ability to create value and shape effective strategies with a long-term horizon.
The workshop took place in two parts:
The first part, held on December 7, 2022, focused on the theoretical background of ESGs (definition, significance and connection to Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs). The second part, held on December 9, 2022, highlighted the Practical Application of ESG indicators (introduction to service design, necessary tools for mapping the ESG goals of each team, etc.).
The speakers of the two-day event were Dr. Vasiliki Koniakou, Data Protection Officer, ACEin AUEB and Dimitris Papadimitriou, Founder and Managing Director of Startup Pathways.
