The 1st Proof-of-Concept Program of Science Agora

The 1st Proof-of-Concept program of Science Agora was run by NSCR Demokritos, the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACE) of AUEB, the National Technical University of Athens and the Athena Research Center in collaboration with Google.

The Thematic Areas

The program focused on Energy and Environment. Taking into account the contemporary challenges related to climate change and environmental degradation, as well as the technological advancements and investments aimed at addressing these issues, SCIENCE AGORA invited entrepreneurial and research teams to submit business proposals that leverage cutting-edge technologies to tackle challenges in the following thematic areas:

Funding for the implementation of the PoC, ranging from €15,000 to €40,000, based on specific evaluation criteria.

SciDrones

The purpose of the EMERGE project is to improve the current surveillance process for medium and high-voltage networks. The EMERGE project will utilize data collected by UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) to map the networks and generate all the necessary geospatial information, which will accurately depict the status of the networks and any potential malfunctions.
