History

AUEB is the first University in Greece to introduce entrepreneurship courses (starting in the academic year 2003-04 in undergraduate study programs). Every year, hundreds of students in its 8 undergraduate and 32 graduate programs are trained in entrepreneurship through relevant courses and the use of multiple educational methods and tools (such as business game simulation, company visits, participation in entrepreneurship competitions, etc.). The strategy of AUEB to become a Center of Excellence for the creation and development of sustainable and innovative entrepreneurship in Southeast Europe is largely implemented by the University's Unit of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACE).
The primary goal of the Unit is to be the point of reference for the University on matters of Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship and to offer a full range of related services to the academic community, as well as to society, promoting entrepreneurship in the country, in line with best practices of corresponding Centers at an international level.
