The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is the first university in Greece to introduce entrepreneurship courses (already from the academic year 2003-04 in undergraduate study programs). Each year, hundreds of students in its 8 undergraduate and 29 postgraduate programs are trained in entrepreneurship through relevant courses and using multiple teaching methods and tools (such as business game simulation, company visits, participation in entrepreneurship competitions, etc.). The University's strategy to become a Center of Excellence for the creation and development of sustainable and innovative entrepreneurship in Southeastern Europe is largely implemented by the University's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit (ACEin). The Unit's main goal is to be the point of reference for the University in matters of Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship and to offer a range of related services to the academic community, as well as to society, promoting the enhancement of entrepreneurship in the country, in line with best practices of similar Centers at an international level.
